AYC Diversity Statement

Furthering diversity, equality, and inclusion is a long-standing core value at Anchorage Youth Court (AYC). It is memorialized in AYC's Bylaws, which articulate the organization's commitment to prioritizing the recruitment and retention of diverse Community Board Members who reflect the populations that AYC serves. AYC fosters a positive, welcoming environment by striving to cultivate a collective cultural awareness that accurately represents the diverse community in which it operates. AYC takes pride in the unique experiences that form the identities of AYC staff, members, and the community that they help to serve. AYC firmly believes that inclusiveness is a core strength of the organization and is committed to continuing to develop and strengthen itself as an inclusive organization that fully represents many cultures, backgrounds, and viewpoints.
