In-Person Classes

These classes are free and in person. They are open to all members of the public, and hosted by AYC's peer navigator.

In-Person Goals Workshop
What? This class works hands-on with youth to explore different types of goals, learn how to make SMART goals, and use a SWOT analysis to help participants create own personalized goals and leave with practical steps to move towards success.

In-Person Marijuana 101
What? This class explores the physical, health, and legal impacts of marijuana 
use,​ with an emphasis on how it can affect a young person’s future.

When? Monday, September 22nd, 2025

ANTI-SHOPLIFTING
This class talks about shoplifting and petty theft and intervention. It provides strategies and skills that discourage shoplifting, and works to transform the ambivalent mindset to become aware of their actions and to develop healthy behavior.
Cost: $75
Hours to Complete: 3.5-4.5 hours

This class covers how marijuana affects physical and mental health and discusses laws related to it

​ANGER MANAGEMENT
This class covers how to correct thinking errors, the consequences of unregulated anger and how to moderate your emotions in a healthy manner. It explores the root of anger, impulse control strategies, how to resolve conflict in a healthy way, coping skills, and how to make good decisions.
Cost: $52
​Hours to Complete: 4 hours

CONFLICT-WISE CLASS 
This class covers bullying and harassment, and discusses laws on assault, stalking, and violence. It discusses the impacts of anger, causes of conflicts, and how to effectively manage and solve conflict, and how to regulate emotions and communicate them.  
Cost: $75

Hours to Complete: 3-4 hours

LIFE SKILLS CLASS 
This class focuses on personal responsibility, promotes good decision making, healthy self-esteem, effective communication, time management, motivation, positive thinking, and how to establish healthy boundaries.  
Cost: $55-$62

RESPECT AND RESOLVE CLASS 
This class discusses how to develop healthy relationships, self-esteem, setting boundaries to make good decisions, addressing bullying and harassments, avoiding coercion, impulse control, managing threats of violence, and how to report incidents.
Cost: $75
Hours to Complete: 1-2 hours
